Beyond Team Building at Kapuhala Superhuman Retreat

I am a businessman and an entrepreneur in multiple industries. My accounting firm, Monx Team, is a breakthrough in the finance industry and I am working hard to make it one of the biggest success cases in accounting history.

But sometimes pure will is not enough, I need to train the whole team to be superhumans so we can get to where we want to go!

After many discussions with life and business partner Crystal, we concluded that in order to create a better and stronger team, each individual actually needs to become stronger, mentally and physically. With this in mind, the Kapuhala Protocol was born:

The three circles in the logo of Kapuhala Resort, our hospitality business, each carries a meaning:

Eat: plant-based, mindfully and intermittently

Move: “Burn, Build, Fix”

Live: With others, following the Circadian Rhythm, in nature

We carry out the Kapuhala Protocol through our Superhuman Retreats at Kapuhala. We first introduced it to our own team at Monx, and now it has expanded to other companies. In just 4 days, we witnessed transformations and people left the resort completely rebooted.

“It was one the most powerful experience in my life and bonding with my company was transformational for our team mood,” our friend Kevin said at the end of the retreat.

The Superhuman Retreat was designed to accompany our body and mind to a better place in a fun way. During the 4 days, delicious plant-based meals were shared and enjoyed by everyone, so were the yoga and cardio sessions. On the last day, everyone did ice baths and it was a great challenge for all. Albeit the tough challenge, the team shared this very special experience together and they absolutely loved it.

Spending 4 days doing physical or out-of-the office activities have shown these benefits:

· Better working cooperation between each team member

· Better HRV marks

· Working with lower stress levels enhances critical thinking thus profitability

· Better working relationships when personal time is valued by the company

· Investing in mental health of the workforce improves the financial health of the firm

· Improving sleep quality, digestion and immunity equals less absenteeism
